Known for working to end preventable blindness, Orion Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their community. These projects range from cleaning up local roadways to providing supplies to local school children in need. Their mission to serve these needs and the needs of the sight and hearing impaired calls them to host multiple fund raising activities. Orion Lions Club members kick off the year with a Golf Outing held one weekend each June. Other projects include Pancakes in the Park on several occasions, selling roses on Rose Day during Memorial Day weekend, Lions Annual Sight & Sound Raffle, and other Lions awareness fund raisers, such as Candy Day.
With currently only 72 memebers, Orion Lions are just a small portion of the International Lions network of 1.3 million men and women in 202 countries and geographic areas.
