The Orion Lions held this years their annual Christmas party at the Factory restaurant this past month. At that meeting our membership held their annual Christmas silent auction to help fund our two five hundred scholarships that are given out each year to two Orion High School seniors. The Orion Lions would also like to thank all the residents of Orion for helping with our fund rising activates that help the sight and hearing impaired. Because of your generosity we have been able to help many sight and hearing impaired children attend a camp for the first time. We also have been able to buy many glasses and hearing aids for children and adults in the Orion area. The following awards were given out to four outstanding individuals for there work.
Donald Riggle
Award - Out Standing New Lion
Lion Don for building our new web sight and also serving on our Board as a Director
Susan DeDecker
Award Ц Lions of Illinois Foundation Fellow
Outstanding volunteerism within the Orion community and Orion Lions Club.
Cheryl Russell
Award Ц Presidents Appreciation
Outstanding Leadership the past two years within the Orion Lions Club.
Frank Guys
Award Ц Lions International Melvin Jones Fellow
Living our motto of serving others.
